Hackley Collection Commits to Electronic Music ArchiveDetroit, Michigan - June 2005The Detroit Public Library's E. Azalia Hackley Collection ( ) is pleased to announce the formation of a Detroit Electronic Music Archive (D.E.M.A.). The Hackley has announced an opening reception for June 11, 2005 in Old Fine Arts on the third floor of the Detroit Public Library's main branch building facing Woodward Avenue. The event will be held from 3:30 till 6 p.m. and will feature a live electronic performance by local artists Alvin Hill ( ) and Colin Zyskowski ( ). An after-party, featring Paris '68 ( ) will be held from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Majestic Cafe ( ) that same night. |
